Doobie J's love for house music began in the mid-90's, DJing notorious neighborhood house party's.
In 1999 Doobie J broke his neck, reliant on a wheelchair he had to hang his headphones up, never expecting to DJ again. Unable to give up his passion for house, he dedicated himself to production and Citrus Sound Records was born. He has gone on to remix for many labels, recently including DJ Spen’s Quantize label with artists such as Stephanie Cooke & Dawn Tallman and Sofia Robina.
In 2002 Doobie J was able to return to DJing, thanks to the innovation of mp3 mixers. Today Doobie J spins soulful & deep house across the globe for a wide range of parties also hosting the weekly Citrus Sound Show on SSRadio.com and Feel Good Friday Show on Pointblank FM
His sound has developed from a blend of soulful & deep house, into an increasing influence in afro house.
